Captains Ronald Paxton and Matt Neidlinger have over 30 years experience in the yachting industry. They met while working on charter vessels in the British Virgin Islands and have since worked in captain and engineering capacities aboard a number of sailing and power yachts throughout the east coast and the Caribbean.
“Well if anything's going to happen, it's going to happen out there.”
- Captain Ron, 1992
That was a different captain Ron... but they are words of wisdom. Ron Paxton has been “out there” since he was a kid. It started with sailing Opti’s in South Africa and sailing took him from the African coast to the Caribbean and beyond. As captain/engineer aboard a number of motor yachts in the 116' range, Ron built a deep knowledge of yacht systems, and a vast network of suppliers and technicians. Twenty seven years later he’s still loves the water.
Ron lives in Fort Lauderdale with his wife, son and their new puppy Luna.
Matt started his career as a diesel engine designer, but left corporate America in 2006 to pursue a career in yachting. His unique combination of hospitality focus, mechanical aptitude and teaching skill served him well during his 15 year tenure as a charter captain aboard all-inclusive sailing and diving vessels.
He is an American Sailing Association instructor and PADI Divemaster and has chartered and cruised extensively through the Caribbean and Bahamas. Matt knows all about living the dream and loves to help new yacht owners plot their course to their perfect cruising dream.
